Pink (P): I always wore pink. I always liked pink. Naturally, I think every little girl's favorite color is pink or purple. Pink has been my nickname since I was young and I was never able to live it down.
P: I was singing when I came out. Before I could talk really. I'd be running around the house making stuff up. I'd be four and in love with somebody I didn't know.
P: My mom always thought she could sing and my dad really could. Oops...she can sing now but my dad played guitar and he'd always sing me to sleep when I was a baby. |

P: Twenty. VV: Did you always have a dream to make a record? P: Yes, it was always a plan. I didn't know how, when, why, or what. I always knew it would be. I was telling my kindergarten teachers, "I don't have to listen to this, I'm a singer!" My mom was saying, "Go to college!" (but I always replied) "No, I'm a singer!" It was the power of positve thought, I guess, because it happened when I was sixteen.
P: I am a very eclectic person. It is a really versatile video, like me. VV: Do you write the songs ? P: I write and collaborate.
P: David Meyers, he's the best. It was my first video and he made it so easy for me. He let me be myself and it really came naturally. It was the best three days in L.A. of my life. |

P: I hate the Playstation. The only reason it was in the video was because my friends will sit in their house and play it for 18 hours. And they won't talk to me. I think they should be illegal. For real. That's why my ex(-boyfriend) in the video was playing a Playstation. It is forbidden in my house. VV: You've gotten a lot of radio and video support for your first single, There U Go. What's the rest of the album like compared to this first single? P: It's like the video. It's versatile with a lot going on. It's got everything from up tempo, crazy tracks to some slow, beautiful ballads with an orchestra. And I just love it. There's a lot of really personal songs on it like Can't Take Me Home To Mama and Stop Falling.
P: Yes, there's a ballad with a lot of rock guitar but you just can't classify a lot of the songs. To me, my music is really about being open minded with the best of all worlds. It's a great first project where I wrote a lot of it. I never really wanted to sing love songs that I didn't mean because I am not in love, and in order for me to put feeling into a song, it has to be something I believe in.
P: I want to, have to, and will work with Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. I have always been such a fan. I'd like to work with Lauryn Hill. Tu Pac? (laughs)
P: I want to paint the world pink but I figure that'll take a while. I love to perform and I'll have a microphone in my hand for most of the year - touring and doing a lot of shows. Basically, I want everyone to get to know me this year.
